4 reviewsI started my career in filmmaking working on independent films in Seattle in the 1990s. I joined I.A.T.S.E Local 488 as a grip and worked on features and television series including DISCLOSURE, NORTHERN EXPOSURE, and others. In 1997, I left the film industry to attend graduate school and then teach filmmaking at Emerson College and Ithaca College while still working on independent films. In 2010, I was a delegate to Poland for the American Documentary Showcase with my short film NOTES ON LIBERTY. From 2013 to 2018, I was one of the primary filmmakers for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology where I shot and produced numerous short-form documentaries on birds and their habitats. I was the Director of Photography for the award-winning noir web series THE CHANTICLEER and in 2017 lived in Vienna, Austria as a Fulbright Scholar. I hold an MFA in Film and Video Production from the University of Iowa Graduate College.
