To put it briefly, I am a photojournalist and editorial photographer at heart. Being a photojournalist gives you a license to be curious about all things. It's all about the people and their stories. There is nothing I love better than going out on an assignment, being able to illustrate a good story, and then seeing those photos in print or on the web. I get an indescribable high from it every time. Every day in this biz is a new adventure. And you're only as good as the picture in today's paper. I have been a staff photographer at 4 different daily newspapers, but I've freelanced and had my work featured in publications across the country. I shoot news video for First Coast News, the Tegna affiliate in Jacksonville, Florida in addition to my still photography work. I cover a wide variety of stories with and without a reporter. A lot of what I do is transmitted to the station as it is happening.

Trevor Butts is a videographer with over 10 years of industry experience. He is originally from Macon, GA and received his bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Belhaven University. Trevor began his career in 2011 at WTOC-TV as a news videographer, but left to help establish Flight of Promise Media, a full fledged, service media agency. Over the course of his career, Trevor has garnered a plethora of experience via ESPN, SCAD's Savannah Film Festival, Byrd Cookie Company, and WSAV News to name a few. With over a decade of experience telling impactful stories about the African American experience, John is dedicated to creating films that educate and enlighten audiences. Originally from Charleston, Travis was inspired at a young age by the storytelling traditions of his community. After studying filmmaking in college, he launched his career making poignant documentaries and narratives grounded in the history and culture of the South. Travis's films confront racial injustice while also celebrating the richness of African American life, music, and spirituality. His body of work has been recognized at film festivals nationwide, including Sundance and Tribeca. He received the Outstanding Directing award for his 2015 feature film "America Street." When he's not on set, Travis enjoys mentoring up-and-coming Black filmmakers in his community. He also speaks regularly on panels about increasing diversity in the film industry. My name is Ali McField. I started my journey as a filmmaker 10 years ago. After a long day of working construction I came home and my wife asked me, "What are you passionate about? What do you dream about?" A few weeks later I was enrolled in college taking evening and lunch break classes. My journey took me across the country. I worked full time and took full time classes and I couldn't have done it without the support of my wife and 5 children. Rory Thompson is a twenty-one-year-old Black filmmaker born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a double major in Digital Media Production and Media Studies with a minor in Film Studies. ​ Growing up with a passion for stories and storytelling, Rory quickly fell in love with video storytelling via film and television. At the age of 10, he started making home movies and stop motion videos. At the age of 17, he made his first short film, "Fourth of July". Since then, Rory has worked with various sports organizations, doing mostly video editing work, including the Jacksonville Sharks, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the Jacksonville Giants, the St. Augustine Glory, and Flagler College Athletics. He has also independently produced music videos and worked on various short films. In the Spring of 2021, Rory started production on his first short film in almost four years with "Six Months Later", which was later released in July 2021. He is currently in production of his undergraduate thesis film, "The Butterfly and the Wasp", with a planned release of early 2022.
