Hello there! My name is Spencer Bruttig and I am a Washington, D.C. based film producer, DOP and editor. I came out to DC from the SF Bay Area to help start a new documentary and podcast production company (Tegna and Vault Studios) but most recently joined Google as an in-house creative producer working on their marketing team. Enrique Huaiquil is a Chilean-American award-winning cinematographer, photojournalist, documentary photographer, video editor, and graphic artist based in Northern Virginia. He has covered a wide variety of issues, including the Central American caravans trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, the aftermath of the earthquake in Puerto Rico, white supremacy in America, COVID-19 intensive care units, and immigration detention centers. Enrique has been documenting the immigration crisis in the U.S. In 2021, his focus was primarily on the growing Afghan community in the Washington, DC area as a result of the increased number of asylum seekers and refugees who had to flee Afghanistan with the American withdrawal in 2021. Timothy Wolfer is a journalist and filmmaker. For over a decade he has been working on stories of humanitarian aid and migration. His work has taken him to 40+ countries; places like South Sudan to tell stories of the conflict, Bangladesh to cover stories of the Rohingya fleeing Myanmar, Cuba as the country first opened to U.S. humanitarian assistance, and Haiti days after the 2010 earthquake. With a strong visual eye and a creative mind, I approach storytelling like a puzzle. How can I bring this to life? How can I take a simple idea and give it a voice and a vision? Mostafa Bassim is a photojournalist and documentary photographer based in New York City. His career in photojournalism began during his participation in the January 25th revolution in Egypt, when he co-founded “Sotna” a local newspaper in his hometown and started documenting the atrocities committed by the regime. Mostafa has covered various events ranging from the aftermath of the Egyptian Revolution to economic and societal issues. His projects focus heavily on documenting the daily lives and occurrences of marginalized communities.
