Adriana Berroterán is a cinematographer originally hailing from Venezuela and currently based in Berlin. She began her career in the audiovisual world in 2007 and she’s an active member of The ICF+C, Apertura DOP, Free The Work and Sporas. Since 2021 Adriana is part of the jury board (music video and cinematography categories) of the D&AD Awards, the most prestigious benchmark for creative excellence in design and advertising. Her portfolio combines beautifully crafted shots full of poetry and mystery. She feels a deep attraction for the taboo, the forbidden, the mystical and the human body, which she considers tools of liberation and self-knowledge. Her creative interest lies in intersectionality and challenging the aesthetic parameters imposed by a society that lives in the framework of heteronormativity. Adriana’s experience comes from TV series, short films, commercials, music videos, live music festivals and documentaries in several countries such as Mexico, Germany, Austria, USA and Argentina. Some of her most notable work includes being Camera Operator for TV shows for Netflix and HBO Max, projects developed in Mexico. In 2008 she completed a film production course in Altos de Chavón School of Design in Dominican Republic. From 2009 to 2011, she studied Direction of Photography and colorimetry at the Training Center of the Argentine Film Industry Union CFP SICA. In March 2011 she was selected to participate in the Talent Campus Buenos Aires in collaboration with The Berlin Film Festival - Berlinale Talent Campus. Adriana won the Best Cinematography Award for the Short Film ‘Hysteria’ at Sappho Film Festival UK 2021 and the Best Music Video for ‘3 & Hoy’ at Buenos Aires International Fashion Film Fest 2021. Additionally, some of her projects are official selection of several Film Festivals in the US and across Europe.

Saad Shahriar is practicing mainstream and alternative platform of journalism as a non-fiction writer (i.e. opinion/column, essay, BBC blog writer), visual journalist (i.e. photo editor, documentary photographer, photo reporter, and multimedia producer), documentary-ethnographic filmmaker (producer/director), Content Producer (social media) and broadcast content developer (produce content, develop communication to support TV production). He began his career by contributing to local daily newspapers of Bangladesh in 2003. Formerly he worked for some national dailies in Bangladesh; also international media like Sipa Press (France), ZeppelinNetwork (France), and CNN International (US). He worked for BBC Media Action, Bangladesh as a content researcher, assistant producer, and social media strategist from 2013-2017. He studied Journalism & Media Studies, and Broadcast & Cross-Media Journalism in Dhaka, Bangladesh; also studied and practiced Contemporary Documentation in Berlin, Germany. Currently, he is exploring Visual Anthropology, Media & Documentary practices at the University of Muenster, Germany. In November 2022, Saad Shahriar founded Unrest Radio — an autonomous space for socio-political documentation of unheard voices, which is a podcast project that focuses on socio-political oppression within German society.

I am a German photographer based between Germany (Berlin/Munich) and Colombia and a frequent collaborator with The New York Times. After graduating with a Master of Social Anthropology and Political Science from the University of Cologne in 2011, I started photography whilst working in Colombia with different NGOs. My work focuses on stories related to human rights, gender aspects, and social changes within societies and ethnic groups that are mainly under-reported. I participated in the HEFAT - Hostile Environment and Emergency First Aid Training in Nairobi and the RISC Training in Medellin, Colombia in 2017.

I started my career in Beirut my home town where I was born and grew up. Worked in a local Tv in Lebanon as a production coordinator for 3 years. When the Syrian crisis started I was moving between Lebanon, Syria, and Istanbul covering the war as a freelancer and working on my first documentary. At the beginning of 2014, I came back to Beirut worked for 1 year covering the refugees' crisis and started with Ahmad Moftah (my work partner) our own production house Moftah Productions, we did numerous productions from all over the world. Now I'm working as a freelance video journalist traveling between Lebanon and Germany and other European countries.

Kaleb Wentzel-Fisher is a Berlin-based filmmaker from the U.S. He finished his first feature film, Sankofa, which was produced by Molly Aida Film and was premiered at the Zagreb Fantastic Film Festival in Croatia in 2014. Kaleb has made films and music since his early teens. He studied audio engineering and production at the McNally Smith School of Music while teaching himself video production. He has spent the last decade working on motion pictures for the film industry, teaching seminars and workshops, and creating his own films and music. After developing curricula and teaching film and audio production at the Media Arts Collaborative Charter School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he moved to Berlin to write and direct independent feature films. He is currently developing his newest project, a documentary film entitled Concrete Empire (www.concrete-empire.com), in collaboration with Molly Aida Film. Kaleb's work has been featured on MTV, Canal+, IFC, Vimeo Staff Picks and more.
