Alex Pritz is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmaker based in New York City. The film is now available globally on Disney+. Alex won an Emmy for his work as a cinematographer on the feature documentary The First Wave (dir. Matt Heineman). For more than a decade I have worked as a field producer and journalist covering stories in the U.S. and overseas, including the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Right now I am a freelance multimedia journalist/reporter based in New York City, but I am happy to travel for an assignment. When massive protests broke out in Puerto Rico in 2019, I was one of the first mainland journalists to arrive on the island to cover the “forgotten Americans” amid a political crisis.
