Martin Andres Markovits is an award-winning writer, director, producer and multi-media reporter. He worked as a freelance journalist in Latin America for publications such as the San Francisco Chronicle, The New Statesman, Fusion and the Huffington Post. He has produced video features for China Global Television Network and the PBS News Hour and was an international correspondent for CGTN America. Derek is a freelance video producer based out of Long Beach, CA. His creative journey began in the US Navy as the command photographer for USS Howard (DDG 83) a guided-missile destroyer. I have over a decade of professional experience producing, shooting, editing, and directing video. Raised in Sacramento, California, my love for cinematography started at just the age of 17 as a skateboarder. My friends and I would shoot video of each other on our skateboards using a handy cam then used the footage to create VHS tapes. Brian Inocencio was born and raised in Taiwan. He moved to to Vancouver, Canada when he was thirteen on his own. He developed interest in film photography and was heavily involved in outdoor activities such as backcountry snowboarding, skim boarding, surfing, rock climbing, and camping at a very young age. He was part of the first fifteen rugby team and played on the clubs team on the weekends. He’s always documenting his journey through the camera he had at the time. Presently, he is an award winning documentary filmmaker and cinematographer who has worked on documentary film projects for BBC, PBS, Discovery, Al Jazeera+, Netflix, POV American Documentary, Peacock, 60 Second Docs, The Economist, CNBC, Business Insider, and Bloomberg Digital. His documentary short, Alex, was awarded best documentary at Long Island International Film Expo, shortlisted for the 2017 BAFTA Student Film Awards, and was part of the official selection for 60 Second Docs. Brian has recently worked as a Director of Photography for PBS Series called Historian’s Take, and a feature length documentary film called The Hidden Wounds, and a food series exploring LA’s Chinese cuisine, Boiling Pot, In early 2020, Brian was a Director of Photography for the Chinese Historical Society of America, We Are Bruce Lee, a documentary short that will be part of the museum's new exhibit. In 2018 he was an additional cinematographer on Andrew Zimmern’s food show and was a digital imaging technician on a documentary project, Becoming, an intimate story with the former first lady Michelle Obama. Brian has also worked as a cinematographer and programmer at POV American Documentary. In late 2017, he was an additional cinematographer for a feature length documentary film, Dykes, Camera, Action!, and a second camera operator for the show Talk Stoop, George to The Rescue, Open House, and 1st Look. Before embarking on his career as a documentary cinematographer, he worked in the medical field and was a part of an interdisciplinary team in the Brain Injury Unit working as a physical therapy assistant. At the time, he met some of the toughest people battling their injuries, and one in particular was a young man name Alex. He had just graduated college and had his entire life ahead of him, but a mistake of not fastening his seatbelt completely changed his life. They became friends. He had inspired Brian to follow his gut. And that is to become a documentary filmmaker and cinematographer. Fast forward two years, he made a short film about him “Alex”, and it jump started his storytelling career. Brian holds a MFA in Social Documentary Film from the School of Visual Arts and a Bachelor degree in Biology from Hunter College CUNY in New York City.

Austin Meyer is a documentary filmmaker and photographer based in Oakland, CA. He is a National Geographic Explorer and his work has been featured by HBO, Hulu, Apple TV, National Geographic, The New York Times, Washington Post, The Atlantic, PBS NewsHour, and Al Jazeera among others. Meyer graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. degree in creative writing and an M.A. degree in journalism. After graduation, he was selected as the winner of the New York Times’ International Reporting Trip with Nicholas Kristof competition, for which he reported for the New York Times in Baltimore, India, and Nepal. Meyer has worked as a videographer at the Los Angeles Times and was awarded an IDEO storytelling fellowship, during which he reported for Slate on the social and environmental impacts of hydropower dams along the Mekong River in Southeast Asia. In 2018 Meyer was awarded a National Geographic Explorer grant to create a documentary film on maternal healthcare in Zambia. Mark earned an MFA in Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Michael prides himself on strong collaboration. His experience across genres helps define powerful visual choices and structure, supporting the directors he works with by helping to elevate the process through his creative intensity. Having completed the cinematography residency at Maine Media Workshops in 2009, Michael has had the privilege of working with, and learning from, the most talented cinematographers in the industry, including Tom Weston (Hustle & Flow, Law and Order SVU), Rodney Taylor, ASC (That Evening Sun, Wired to Win), Robbie Greenberg, ASC (Wild Hogs, The Milagro Beanfield War), and Oscar winner Mauro Fiore, ASC (Avatar, Training Day, The A Team). Inspired by the atmospheric lighting of cinematographers such as Jeff Cronenweth and Darius Khondji, he has been building his cinematography reel with dozens of projects of all stripes. Michael’s ability to reveal the subtleties of character through light, shadow, colour, and the juxtaposition of subjects within the frame has been evidenced in films such as Damn it, Mamet! (Best Cinematography, Foster’s Film Fest), Take Me To The River (Official Selection, Sundance Film Festival), Four in the Morning (Official Selection, Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival), and Reservations (Best Short Film Winner, Omaha Film Festival). Having lensed projects for brands such as Bridgestone, Daimler, Methodist Health Systems, research non-profit RTI International, the FBI, and the National Institute of Justice, Michael has been able to translate his love of narrative film work for the commercial world. When he is not behind a camera, he enjoys playing in chess tournaments, mountain climbing, biking, and traveling.

He has directed and co-produced a variety of feature documentaries, which included theatrical releases across North America and distribution across major streaming platforms like Amazon, Apple TV, and PBS Passport. Nic’s work has amassed hundreds of millions of views for companies like The BBC, Disney, Live Nation, Daimler-Benz, Discovery, Cadillac, and Hulu. He has worked with high level musicians and actors including Jennifer Garner, Seth Rogen, Josh Hutchinson, Dave Matthews, Pearl Jam, Jason Mraz, Ciara, and Megan Thee Stallion. Nic graduated from the Journalism School at The University of Montana. He is currently based in Los Angeles, and travels around the world for projects through his company, 4:08 Productions.
