I have been trained at the BBC in UK in filmmaking and have over eight years of experience working on various productions ranging from print to digital to tv to theatrical with almost all major broadcasters and platforms. While I specialise in cinematic shooting, I am flexible and adaptive to the vision of the platform, brand and producer. I am a multi-media journalist with experience of over a decade in television and digital (video and audio) news mediums. From weathering tough terrain for crisis reportage to getting voices that matter and being one of the few journalists to cover the biggest international story in early 2019 (the Sri Lanka terror attack) — I go wherever the story takes me. I am a freelance journalist/photographer/filmmaker interested in under-reported regions and untold stories. I mainly focus on political, social and cultural issues. A lot of the stories are related to human rights and conflict, but not all of them. Having worked in hostile environments such as Syria and Iraq, I am well aware of the difficulties and challenges.
