Alisha Vasudev is a visual storyteller, geographer and National Geographic Explorer based out of Mumbai, India whose practice seeks to explore interdependencies between ecology and human life, with a special interest in weather and the atmosphere. With research experience in natural resource management and food security in rural India; she uses her understanding of geography and environment to engage her audience in the fascinating phenomenon to do with the natural world. I am a freelance journalist/photographer/filmmaker interested in under-reported regions and untold stories. I mainly focus on political, social and cultural issues. Nitin M Patel is a Mumbai-based artist and photographer & Cinematography. A master of black and white's, Nitin's personal style is inspired by fine-art photography. In several of pictures, you will see the use of sunlight to great effect. Since his days as a student at the Sir J.J Institute Of Applied Art, his simple fascination for light, shadow, texture and graphics continue to grip him. Shooting at slow shutter speeds, blurred images, and black and whites are some of his favourite techniques. Predominantly recognised as a fashion photographer, Nitin's work has featured in magazines such as Vogue India, GQ, ELLE, L'Official and Grazia India. When it comes to fashion shows, he feels that the real action happens backstage. He has shot backstage for well-known designers like Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahiliani, Rahul Mishra, Manish Arora and Raghavendra Rathore. Outside of fashion magazines, he has also experimented with the coffee table book format, finding them a fresh new medium to express his vision. His images have featured in coffee table books such as "Fashion India" by Phyllida Jay, " Seven Island Landscape", as well as "The Godfather and Raging Bull" - a project by actor Bikram Saluja. He has been the recipient of the Fashion & You LFW Picture Perfect Award IV at LFW Winter / Festive 2011 and was also the best photographer at Wills Lifestyle Indian Fashion Week for two consecutive seasons that year. A solo exhibition of his backstage photography was part of the concurrent events held by the Fashion Design Council India at the Wills India Fashion Week, October 2010.
