I’m the founder and filmmaker at Alita Films, a documentary production company. As a nonfiction visual storyteller, I create videos for a wide variety of brands, nonprofits, and news organizations. My work for GE exploring 3D printing won the Best New Artist award at the Tongies. Originally an undocumented immigrant from Argentina, Eduardo Daniel Vilchez has been involved in media and video production since 2001 in all capacities in front and behind the camera. “A dreamer before Dreamers,” Mr. Vilchez knows the importance of supporting communities of color and the importance of mainstream narratives and how they bring about positive change where it is most needed. WWW.SCOTTRUDERMAN.COM Scott Ruderman is an award winning filmmaker who has worked on documentary film projects for Netflix, Hulu, Discovery, A&E Originals, Channel NewsAsia, and HBO. His documentary short, Piano Craftman, was awarded Best Director at the 2020 Madrid Art Film Festival and will screen at the BIG SKY Documentary Festival in 2021. In 2020, Scott worked as a cinematographer across the Netflix series (Un)Well and Hulu’s Taste the Nation. Scott was also a Director of Photography on Netflix's Explained and in 2019 he was the Director of Photography on Whiter Shade of Terror, a film about the the global spread of anti-muslim rhetoric and an increasingly violent white supremacy movement, which aired in 28 countries. In late 2018, Scott was a producer on the USA production of the Unanswered Ives documentary which was awarded the Czech Crystal for “Best Documentary Dedicated to Music, Dance and Theater” at the 2019 Golden Prague Film Festival. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Social Documentary Film from the School of Visual Arts. Currently, I freelance on a contractual basis and willing to travel for production. Sebastian is a filmmaker and cinematographer based in Brooklyn, NY. His curiosity about the world and the systems and structures that shape us draws him to well-told stories in both fiction and non-fiction. His short documentary film Esquilas en la montaña (Bells in the Mountains) was officially selected for the 2017 New Orleans Film Festival and the 2017 San Francisco Documentary Festival. His cinematography work has been screened at the Margaret Mead Film Festival and the Nashville Film Festival. Over the last few years Sebastian has helped shoot an experimental non-fiction film in the -35°F winter of interior Alaska, produced videos for the Show Me $15 fight to raise the wages of fast food workers, directed and shot a film for the Southern Environmental Law Center, DP’d a short doc about wetland restoration in Louisiana, filmed on the road with country singer Dierks Bentley, documented oral histories of Afro-descendant Panamanian millennials, and produced, directed, and shot a film for Metro Nashville Public Schools about the experiences of LGBT teachers and students to be used in LGBT trainings for teachers and counselors. Sebastian has also interned for Barbara Kopple and spent three years as a free-lance production assistant on Ken Burns' upcoming Country Music series, assisting with interview shoots and filming behind-the-scenes material. Sebastian grew up in Concord, Massachusetts, and graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Film Studies and Anthropology. During his six years in Nashville, Sebastian grew to love the South, where he first became involved with social justice activism. This commitment continues to drive both his photography and his career choices.

I started my career in filmmaking working on independent films in Seattle in the 1990s. I joined I.A.T.S.E Local 488 as a grip and worked on features and television series including DISCLOSURE, NORTHERN EXPOSURE, and others. In 1997, I left the film industry to attend graduate school and then teach filmmaking at Emerson College and Ithaca College while still working on independent films. In 2010, I was a delegate to Poland for the American Documentary Showcase with my short film NOTES ON LIBERTY. From 2013 to 2018, I was one of the primary filmmakers for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology where I shot and produced numerous short-form documentaries on birds and their habitats. I was the Director of Photography for the award-winning noir web series THE CHANTICLEER and in 2017 lived in Vienna, Austria as a Fulbright Scholar. I hold an MFA in Film and Video Production from the University of Iowa Graduate College.
